Hay Dryer Process
How to Dry Hay
1: Harvest Hay
Select fresh hay with proper maturity and remove rotten or unsuitable materials before drying.
2: Clean the Hay
Remove dust, soil, and impurities from the hay. For large production capacity, a professional cleaning machine is recommended.
3: Cut or Crush Hay
According to drying requirements, hay can be cut into suitable lengths to improve drying efficiency.
4: Put the Hay on the Tray
Spread the hay evenly on the tray with a thickness of about 5-10 cm, then place the trays into the drying chamber.
5: Hay Drying
Set the drying temperature to 60-70°C and humidity to about 10%-15%. Drying time is usually 6-8 hours depending on the moisture content and thickness of the hay.
6: Storage
After drying, hay should be packed and stored in a dry and ventilated environment to avoid moisture absorption and maintain feed quality. Vacuum or sealed packaging can better preserve nutrients and freshness.

Working principle of hay dryer
The hay heat pump dryer uses reverse Carnot cycle technology to absorb heat from the air and convert it into hot air for circulating drying inside the drying chamber. The moisture is automatically removed through the dehumidification system for efficient and uniform drying.
